The Credits Roll

They are so confident on the TV screen. Her pretty brown eyes watch the way he leans towards her, we know what's coming next, that Hollywood kiss and fingers on her neck.

I've known you all my life but for the first time (For the first time) you have left me speechless.

When it's quiet I can hear the piano ring. Nothing is complicated kissing on the swings. The ladder was just a metaphor, progress to the last steps and then it's finally yours.

He's busy writing scripts for the deadline next week. She lies on the dock, just above the creek. She's thinking back to movie nights, they were just best friends but now she is his wife.
