The Summer Drama
My head is in the clouds, the drama's non existent but I'm pretending I've ascended yet beyond her nothing's clear. My feelings frozen in time, maybe for another day, I'm thinking of what to say but nothing seems to relate. I guess she'll have to wait until the stars come out again.
The worst is yet to come and I'm falling at the starting line. She may not be the one but that excuse won't cut it anymore.
I can't escape these thoughts even though I've rationalised. Left no stone unturned and no photograph unburned. Someone cue the happy ending, maybe I can stop pretending. She turns the lights down low, there's so much she has to know, I guess she'll have to wait until the stars come out again.
I pray I see better days, yeah, I pray I'll see better days. The summer of drama has begun as the words I never said come undone. I pray I see better days, yeah, I pray I see better days.
