Your Stare Looks Like Alaska (Burn The Sun)

("Burn The Sun" lyrics)
Hold that opening line, I already know how it goes! Why don't you hum my favorite song instead? You do it so well. This damp exterior is perfect for what we would call "safe". Dissapointment slaps me awake as you say goodbye.
You take one last photo as you go, recovering what's left from the wreckage just to burn it! Well here I am exposed. Keep my last breath on your cheek, like stealing evidence from a scene, just so you know.
And this I'll scream until the day is almost through- "We were never meant to leave but you just had to be like you!" Take everything just like you always do and I'll clench my fists so tight and let this poison run right through, so drink up Juliet, drink up.
Such distortions pull me in and I could have sworn you kissed the wind because it keeps biting my face! In time I'm sure I'll cross your way and it'll be as awkward as doorstep kisses but without any feeling that is remotelt the same.
All that's left is the condensation from our last conversation on the windows.
This conversation is just condensation on the windows and nothing more.
